(more…)In the blog Route Db2 Requests to a Specific Subsystem, I wrote how you can use the QSYS2.SET_SERVER_SBS_ROUTING procedure to route work for database queries using the QZDASOINIT or QRWTSRVR server jobs to customized subsystems. This is a new way to route work based upon the requesting user profile that augments the other ways you can route work to subsystems.

(more…)My last blog was an Introduction to IBM i System Limits and Maximum Capacities. In that blog, I introduced System Health Services, which allow you to track system limits. System limits tracking support is provided via Db2 PTFs, so be sure to install the latest Db2 Group PTF when you start to explore this capability. The limits tracked vary by release and Db2 Group PTF level.
